Frechet differentiability of Lipschitz functions.
Abstract:
I plan to survey the present knowledge about the
existence of points of Frechet differentiability (or
epsilon almost Frechet differentiability )of Lipschitz
functions between Banach spaces. Much emphasis will be
put on recent developments.Since the proofs of most
of the results are delicate and complicated I will
be unable to reproduce them. I will ,however, explain in
detail all the notions entering into these results
as well as the results themselves. As far as possible I
plan also to give the main ideas entering into the
proofs. I will also mention several open problems
in this direction.
