The purpose of these lectures is to discuss sharp L^p-inequalities for some classical operators of harmonic analysis. This includes the computation of the norms of the Hilbert transform, Riesz projection, and other Fourier multiplier operators, as well as estimates of constants in maximal function and Carleson measure inequalities. Analogous weighted and vector-valued inequalities, along with some applications and open questions will be discussed.
